Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 11 and plenty of spots throughout the city are offering everything from garden tea to dance performances to salad bars and more, making the day feel special. Here are some brunches around the city for those looking to treat the mothers in their lives.
Tea in the Garden
Set among topiary sculptures recreating Georges Seurat’s “A Sunday on La Grande Jatte,” Columbus Modern Dance Company (CoMo) will be hosting mothers for a garden tea party this Sunday. A free event, attendees follow the dancers through the topiary garden, as the dancers entertain and tea and cookies are served. Reservations required
Free, May 10 and 11, 2 p.m. Make your reservations here.
Bubbles & Brunch at The Kitchen
Hosted by The Kitchen, the event hall in German Village, this Mother’s Day brunch features a salad bar, desserts and a “mom-osa” bar. Included with tickets to the event, the brunch includes a welcome glass of champagne, a cheese board for appetizers and a Niçoise salad bar alongside a Boston cream puff pastry for dessert. On the salad bar, guests can enjoy herbed chicken and tofu, boiled eggs, dijon vinaigrette, ginger tuna and more.
