Whether you’re looking for a chill Saturday afternoon activity, or not feeling Sunday’s football fuss or simply wanting to soak up some of the city’s immigrant culture, here are some of the events going on around the city this weekend.
Serbian Festival
Hosted by the St. Stevan of Dechani Serbian Orthodox Church, the Columbus Serbian Festival offers festivalgoers a chance to embrace Serbian culture. The expansive festival menu provides attendees with numerous choices, from chicken paprikash to Serbian nutroll to plum brandy. While feasting on the traditional dishes, guests are invited to enjoy traditional Serbian entertainment with the musical stylings of Tigrica and Gogi.

“Scenes From the Park” Plein Air Painting Exhibit and Sale
Take advantage of the last weekend of the 4th annual “Scenes From the Park” Plein Air Painting Exhibition at the Scioto Audubon Metro Park. Featuring over 55 paintings created at the park by 42 local artists, attendees are invited to vote for their favorite pieces and award the artists cash prizes.

Go Forth! Block Party For All
Art, food and community come together in Short North this Sunday for the Go Fourth! Block Party at Budd Dairy Food Hall, Seventh Son Brewing and Habibi Grill. Performances by Friends with Elephants, Laugh Clown and more will fill the food hall, while stilt walkers waltz past attendees, faces are painted and vendors are selling their fares. At Seventh Son, while the brews are flowing, guests are invited to dance with DJBreezyEZ and shop among local vendors.

All Things Rhino Tours
Celebrate World Rhino Day at The Wilds, a 10,000-acre conservation center located in Cumberland, Ohio. Featuring several threatened and endangered species, The Wilds offers open-air safari tours to guests. For World Rhino Day, they’re offering a tour specifically to see their southern white rhinos. In addition to the rhino encounters, guests will get a chance to talk to their caretakers, learning more about the threatened species.
Saturday, Sept. 21: 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 22: 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m.
