Dublin Irish Festival returns Aug. 1–3

By Joe Frye

From Aug. 1-3, 2025, Coffman Park in Dublin will host the 38th annual Dublin Irish Festival: the world’s largest three‑day Irish festival. Set across over 38 acres, the event annually welcomes more than 100,000 visitors to celebrate all things from the Emerald Isle.

A highlight of Central Ohio’s summer calendar, the Festival features 60 different musical acts with over 800 performers from the U.S. and Ireland showcasing traditional Irish music, dance, storytelling and more across seven main stages. The festival kicks off Friday at 4 p.m. and will be followed by full-day programming on Saturday. Attendees can expect a packed lineup, featuring everything from high-energy Celtic rock to intimate dance and music performances, as well as family-friendly activities.

The Festival also offers cultural experiences where participants can explore Irish genealogy at dedicated tents, join storytelling and folklore sessions, attend Gaelic language workshops, view demonstrations such as sheep herding or historical reenactments, and test their skills in the Highland Games. Younger attendees can attend the multiple craft lessons, children’s performances and games and fun competitions such as reddest hair or most freckles.

Attendees are also invited to shop with nearly 100 vendors offering Irish and Celtic wares such as artisan jewelry and traditional kilts to decor and crafts and sample flavors from over 50 food vendors. What’s more, adults can enjoy beverage tastings ranging from Irish whiskey to mead, along with a flowing supply of Guinness: the festival’s official beer.

Complementing the festival proper, the Dublin Irish Festival 5K & Kids Dash kicks off on July 31 in Historic Dublin. Participants receive festival admission, a finisher medal, a T‑shirt and post‑race entertainment and refreshments.

The Festival boasts multiple accolades: it was voted the Best Cultural Festival in the Country by USA Today 10Best and has earned several International Festival and Events Association Pinnacle Awards.

Tickets and information can be found on the festival’s website.
