BAM Thursdays
The Columbus Museum of Art is inviting patrons to start their weekend early with BAM Thursdays. Every Thursday, the museum will extend its hours to 10 p.m., so take advantage of this opportunity to explore the museum after hours. BAM Thursdays will include live music, food and alcohol in the Patricia M. Jurgensen Sculpture Garden. Entry to this event is free through general admission. Seating in the Schokko Café is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Every Thursday until September 25, 5-10 p.m. Check out the DJ list Here.
Shaping Stories: Art, Identity and Home
Bring the family and enjoy an exhibit inspired by artist Louise Nevelson. Examine the story of this immigrant artist and others as they tell their stories through art as well as live storytelling. Nevelson’s Dawn to Dusk exhibit is composed of found material and transformed into a story of identity and home. Entry is free with registration.
July 12, 1-4 p.m. Register Here.
Summer Art Break
Fun for all ages is available at the Columbus Museum of Art’s Studio space. Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, the CMA studio invites patrons to use this creative space as their own art studio. For those who enjoy a more peaceful morning, CMA Studio provides quiet hours. Quiet hours include access to sound-cancelling headphones, weighted blankets and dimmed lights for the unlimited low-sensory creative experience. Entry is free with admission.
Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Quiet hours 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
