Pigeon Roost Farm has fall fun for all ages

By Morgan Mugwira

Pumpkins, mazes and a petting zoo full of friendly farm animals, Pigeon Roost Farm has all the classic fall favorites. Located just east of Columbus off Interstate 70, the farm offers an ideal escape from the city to the countryside.

Owned and operated by husband and wife Ralf and Janice Jutte, Pigeon Roost Farm has been the family farm since 1979. Originally founded as a place of hard work, over the years, Pigeon Roost Farm has grown into a place of fall celebration and fun—all while remaining a working farm year-round.

Pigeon Roost Farm is full of fall fun for children with many play areas and activities. Healthy competition is welcome at the rubber duck racing station and the milk jug toss. Meanwhile, the pumpkin zipline course is a blast for young thrill seekers. Young cowboys and cowgirls can practice their lasso skills at the Roping Roundup. There are plenty of activities available for kids of all ages in the play areas of Pigeon Roost Farm.

Pigeon Roost Farm also has a variety of friendly animal faces to meet. Goats, chickens, rabbits and the farm’s namesake, pigeons, are all ready to meet guests this fall. And, of course, a requirement of any fall festival, the corn maze will be open for all to explore. Pigeon Roost Farm’s mini maze is made of sorghum or broom corn and is the perfect height for children to explore without getting lost. Most impressively, the corn maze forms an image from the sky.
