Tap into Columbus
Jackie O’s adds to the city’s growing craft beer scene.

Since opening its doors in 2023, Jackie O’s On Fourth in downtown Columbus has rapidly become a staple in the city’s craft beer landscape, blending Athens-Ohio-crafted flavor with downtown flair.
Jackie O’s started as a beloved Athens brewery, founded in 2005 by Art Oestrike and Brad Clark. Named in part after Oestrike’s mother, the brand grew through sustainable practices such as using solar power, supporting local farms and even repurposing spent grain for baked goods and mulch.
Housed in the former Elevator Brewing facility, the expansive venue spans a 6,000-square-foot interior. Inside, visitors can find a cozy atmosphere for those looking to grab a beer by themselves, with a friend or date or with larger social groups.
Perhaps the brewery’s biggest draw, however, is its outdoor space. Jackie O’s has transformed part of what was once a parking lot into a spectacular 8,000-square-foot, two-tiered patio. Complete with stringed lights, fire pits, picnic seating, and more. The patio can host up to 300 guests and offers sweeping views of downtown Columbus.
Flagship offerings include Mystic Mama, a West Coast-style India pale ale, and Razz Wheat, a fruited wheat beer brewed with raspberries. Other staples include Firefly Amber, Chomolungma Brown Ale, and Who Cooks For You Hazy IPA.
The location operates as a taproom for Jackie O’s wide selection of beers, which are brewed in Athens and transported to Columbus. The site is dog-friendly during daytime hours, but after 7:30 p.m. entry is restricted to customers aged 21 and older.
171 N. Fourth St. Open Mon–Thu 3–11 p.m., Fri–Sat noon–midnight and Sun noon–8 p.m. More information on the brewery’s website.
