Free Summer Fun

Check out these free festivals in Columbus

Ticket prices are on the rise, but not for these festivals. The city of Columbus’s Parks and Recreation department is presenting some free festivals this summer. Here are some of the many festivals, both new and returning, happening this summer.
Tribute Tuesday
Feeling nostalgic for those ‘90s tunes? On select Tuesdays, Bicentennial Park will host Tribute Tuesdays featuring covers of popular artists from the decade. The new festival will have bands paying homage to old favorites like Green Day, Weezer, Nirvana and more for all to enjoy. Each Tuesday there will be a tribute to a different band from the ‘90s, so make sure to find your favorite.
5 -8 p.m.; June 17, July 8, July 29, August 5 and August 19
Cap City Festivals
Formally known as “Cap City Nights,” Cap City Festivals brings fun, food and entertainment to neighborhoods across the city. Hosted at public parks and community centers for over a decade, these festivals provide not only entertainment but also resources and community. Fun for all ages, Cap City Festivals are a perfect venue to make memories with neighbors.
4-8 p.m.; August 28, August 23, September 19 and October 24
Jazz and Rib Fest
For over 40 years, people have gathered to celebrate music, food and community during Jazz and Ribs Fest in Columbus, Ohio. Attendees should come prepared for dinner and a show, with 28 performers and over 30 food vendors. This festival provides the perfect ensemble of entertainment and cuisine. This year, Jazz Fest brings jazz to you, under the shaded dining areas, the band Largemouth Brass will be performing live music for diners.
